As I moved out of the house with basic groceries and masalas, somehow I FORGOT TO CARRY SALT!
It doesn't sound like a big deal, until the very moment when you are confronted by bland potatoes with no other option.
My noble advice, "Ketchup is a savior"
After looking for this most important inexpensive commodity everywhere and not finding it anywhere in the complimentary kitchen stuff. I looked at the potatoes in the pan who were sad and looked at me claiming --"my demand wasn't really their flaw!"
With a deep understanding of life and its way of teaching you important lessons, (*in this case there weren't any)
I ACCEPTED my truth and destiny!
With a heavy heart, I added all the masalas I had and prepared my plate to serve.
With a subconscious heart of a Doberman, I sniffed one last time and found a table salt container!
And as I sprinkled it on potatoes with love and joy, 2 very important life lessons struck me!
Necessary things/people might not be the best of things, but
" the best can't shine without the basic "
Secondly, "Follow your inner voice when it asks you to take a chance, even if you just accepted your loss."
The best things happen to those who are smart enough to explore & adapt timely and quickly.
