It's 4:30 am IST! Dawn is still dark, the birds are up and chirping. I witness Rabindranath Tagore's words, "faith is that bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark", come to life and my mind wanders away with the Koo-ooo of Koel.
Balance- Patience
On a rainy day, when you walked on the footpath edges with arms spread like an eagle, you learned balance is within. Counting the tiles back and forth while waiting for the school bus, you knew how exciting and indulging patience could be.
Things have changed a lot today. While waiting, to smell the fragrance of freshly baked bread, the aroma of lemongrass and peanuts tossed in Khow Suey, and the fusel notes of rum whipped in dark chocolate. We know we lost some balance and patience has become a difficult task to endure daily.
What did you do when you fell off the bicycle? Did you stop riding one, or did you get up, dust off yourself, get the cycle repaired, and go back to riding.
This is the exact situation we are in today, we lost balance and fell from the cycle of nature. All we need to do now is repair the cycle and start riding it again.
The question is How? The answer lies in understanding the problem.
The Problem
We live in times of Pushbutton technology. Swiftly moving lifestyles might be exhilarating but the trauma of pause is often a shock to the entire system. We worked on the accelerator and forgot to enhance the mechanism of breaks.
The Solution = CONSENSUS
It seems we have fallen from a tandem cycle, the only way to reverse it is consensus on (two things):
To re-build.
The plan to re-build.
The above requires us to RECONNECT.
